Take a Word: Botanical

From big things little things grow!!
It is the botanical names that interest me!! Big long names! Many unpronounceable to the 'layman', such as
X Cupressocyparis leylandii : Leyland Cypress
Xanthorroea australis : Australian Grass Tree
Taraxacum ceratophorum : Dandelion...
so I thought that I would plant the names and see how they grow!!
They are doing well.... new shoots everywhere!

Perhaps a course in Latin would help Glenys ? :)
(just kidding)
But I realy like your idea and it brought a huge smile on my face !
Adding al the words must have been a lot of work !!
A also therefore a big aplaus from me !!

Glenys, what a delightful idea! I used to be in a garden club and was always awed by those who could reel off those long latin names. My dh does this with insects. He makes fishing flies and they are supposed to represent real insects. He knows the Latin names. I love the way you have made the words wave like plants springing up out of the ground.

I love the thoroughly unique way your mind works, Glenys. This is fabulous. I am a lover of botanical names too but I would never have thought of planting them and I am very jealous of this most original idea. Fantastic.
