Now!!! this is a challenge that is right up my artistic alley!! I work with rust in all of my art works, using a solution technique that changes the face of paper and cloth and any other stuff that you would like to dip into the solutions!I have set out the 'recipe' here... free for all to experiment with and to use.... just a thanks on-line would be appreciated, after you have tried it!
Whilst you are on the page to get the rust recipe, have a look at the "Works on Paper" and you can see just how I have used the rust solution for these exhibiton pieces.
Have fun as I have had over the last 20 years using this non complicated way of getting 'rust'!!
The art work here is a book made from rusted paper, sticks that also went through the rust bath and leaves... all placed into a box that I constructed from 'foam core board' then dipped into the solution.... you never know what you are going to get!
